About the Material
Water hyacinth is a fast‑growing tropical aquatic plant originally from South America and widely found in Southeast Asia. Because it can rapidly cover waterways and reduce light and oxygen levels, the plant is regularly harvested. The leaves are removed and the thick stems are sun‑dried for three to seven days, producing a resilient, abundant raw material ideal for traditional wickerwork.
Care & Variation
Each basket is an individually handcrafted piece; slight variations in size, color and shape may occur due to the natural material and manual production process. To clean, wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth and avoid prolonged exposure to direct moisture.
